TBE's system utilizes uses biomass residue.
Materials are from commercial, bulky, residential, C&D, and wood waste. The process starts with up-front recycling which recovers wood, food, paper, paperboard boxes, natural textiles, and other organics.
The technology is efficient.
The biomass remaining after recycling is converted in the gasification island (left) to various energy products, including a high-value synthesis gas (Syngas). Only 8% of the total energy value of the biomass is lost in this process.
Electric power is produced at the facility.
With very little additional processing, the Syngas is used as fuel for gas turbines in an integrated power generation process.
