1. Biomass separated from the waste stream (with recyclables removed) is ‘fed' into system

2. Some percenetage of the sSteam generated in #8 is used here.

3. Biomass interacts with heated sand and is converted to a medium calorific value gas. Solids go to #6. Gas goes to #5.

4. Tar is converted to more synthesis gas. Hydrogen content of the gas is increased.

5. Synthesis gas produced by system provides fuel for turbines which generate electricity.

6. 1800F temperatures consume all remaining carbon from biomass. The ash residue (#7) is virtually carbon-free.

7. Non-toxic, non-leachable ash is removed after the gasification process is complete. It has potential uses as fertilizer or as an additive to concrete.

8. Cleaned of ash, heated solids from the combustion reactor (#6) are returned to the gasifier (#3) .

TBE's technology was developed by Mark Paisley, an internationally recognized expert in biomass gasification technologies. The patent-pending Taylor Gasification Process is the first American commercial application of a technology that has been used successfully in Austria and Japan.
