James W. Taylor, Jr.
President and CEO

Mr. Taylor is a pioneer in the renewable energy and recycling industries. With true entrepreneurial spirit , he purchased his father's tree removal business in the 1980's and grew it into one of the nation's leading recyclers of construction and demolition debris. Mr. Taylor was a principal recipient of  the US Army Corps of Engineers' "2002 Contractor of the Year" award in recognition of his work in the  Fresh Kills landfill after the World Trade Towers disaster. He  has made presentations on  biomass energy at the Net Step conference at Columbia University, the National County Managers Association and other venues around Orange County, NY and the United States. Biomass magazine recently ran a profile of Mr. Taylor and TBE.

 

Mark A. Paisley, P.E.
Vice President, Research & Development

Mr. Paisley, an internationally recognized expert in biomass gasification technologies, is the inventor of the patent-pending Taylor Gasification Process. He has 12 patents in all, five of which (including TBE's) are gasification processes.   His 35+ years of experience in the industry include development of a biomass gasification process at Battelle Memorial Institute which was funded by the U.S. Department of Energy and supported by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Biomass Energy Research Association. Mr. Paisley is the author of the Biomass Energy section for the on-line Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology.

Allan Page, P.E.
Energy Resources and Markets

Mr. Page is TBE's power generation and interconnection consultant. He was an executive for the CH Energy Group for more than three decades, holding many top level positions on affiliate boards including Group President, COO and CEO. His portfolio encompasses extensive work experience in customer service, engineering, operations, market evaluations and business acquisitions. He was directly responsible for developing new business ventures such as electric generation companies, energy services companies, retail energy supply businesses and energy trading organizations.

Howard Cohen, CPA
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Cohen directs Taylor's financial and information management systems, and has responsibility for developing and managing corporate strategies to expand the company's business.  He is accomplished in developing business models, and has special expertise in financing opportunities for renewable energy generation. His portfolio includes senior auditor positions for international accounting firms in South Africa and New York.  He has been a controller and chief financial officer in the manufacturing, service, and distribution fields.

Ralph N. Corley. P.E.
Vice President of Engineering & Construction

Mr. Corley is responsible for all aspects of design and construction of the Taylor Biomass Energy facility.  His portfolio includes over 30 years of diversified engineering and construction experience in gasification, power and other industries. He was previously Program Manager for biomass gassification for a global engineering /construction firm; Vice President for an engineering and fabrication firm and Director of Engineering, Construction and Maintenance for large pharmaceutical firm. He has managed projects up to $200 million from development and design through start-up, commissioning and operation.
