About TBE's Gasification Process
No air or oxygen allowed into the gasification reactor; not a 'burn' technology
Uses circulating fluidized bed reactors to move biomass and gasification products through the process; a completely closed loop system
Converts tars produced by process into synthesis gases as a normal part of the system's cycle (not a separate operation)
Produces product gases which have energy uses with less further processing than similar technologies
Improved heat recovery from system, increasing efficiency
Utilizes a 'flexible' range of biomass sources as feedstock
Potential for hydrogen recovery without additional downstream reactors (as in other technologies)
